You can SO wear that again.....
Just in case you're new to my craziness let me refresh your memory :
*13 .. number of times I've been a bridesmaid. I've worn pink , light blue , dark blue , teal , lots of black , green , white .....you get the point. Thankfully and with complete humility :) , I have LOVED every color. That part has always been fun. Short , long . strapless , not strapless. They've all been adorable.
* 11.. number of times I've cried the whole way home from trying on the dress thinking to myself " there is no way my butt is gonna fit into that thing "
* 4.. number of times I've actually felt pretty as a bridesmaid , now if you're thinking " wow thats not alot " ....I'm actually thinking " holy cow 4, it's a miracle "
Now to protect those I love I will not tell you which wedding I felt those things but all of these experiences are making choosing a dress for my friends a nightmare. Not because of them , ALL of them have pretty much said " I'd wear anything , its your day and I just want to be next to you , being supportive " . This should be every brides dream right ? To have these kind of woman in your life ! The problem is me , I can't let go of the few times I've felt so horrible about myself and how upset I got , not because of anything a friend did to me, it was my own self-esteem problem. Its no secret that people pleasing is my number one problem but this is just different . I want all of these women to feel beautiful , I want them to feel comfortable, I want them to know I care about how they feel that day as well. Honestly I'm probably the one reading too much into every smile or grimace , making mental notes of what they are liking . We started this journey last week and it was so much fun. They were so entertaining ....and so gracious....... I feel so blessed to have these girls in my world :) We continue our journey this week ....If I can get their permission I will post pics soon. No matter what happens there is one thing I promise...I will NEVER say... " YOU CAN WEAR THAT AGAIN ".....because we all know that is just bull crap !!!!!
