That would look good on you if you lost weight …..
Did that title get you ?! Yeah it did me to when I was around 11. Here’s the deal …. Your girl has always been a little thick. Heck I was born at 12lbs. And they don’t make plus size baby clothes ;)
Here is the quick version. I was a chubbier kid but my mom and Al never made me feel any way other than beautiful. I wasn’t gobbling down pints of ice cream. In fact, I feel like my parents did a great job of teaching me how to eat but also that it was fun to get an ice cream on a Sunday night.
The first time I remember feeling “ fat” was when a family member showed me an outfit and I said how much I’d love to have one like it. She said “ I tell you what , you loose that belly and I’ll get you one “. I’m honestly not sure if I’ve ever told my mom that because I knew that person would be beat up ;). She wasn’t the last to make comments either
By Jr high I was average. Didn’t really think about my weight till years later. My 20’s are when my bad habits started and the bad diets followed. If it’s a diet I’ve tried it and quit. Jenny Craig - you bet then I quit . Weight Watchers … which time ? I’ve tried it approximately 709 times. I was trying to find photos to compare and didn’t realize how good I was at hiding behind things. Now for the record I know that when you look at these pictures it’s not like I’m somebody that weighs hundreds and hundreds of pounds. But for my age and my height I was and was extremely unhealthy. I felt that weight.
After all that I maintained most of what I lost but then I did the typical bride diet and lost 45lbs on adipex. I have zero shame telling you that. I know some people are like omg I would be embarrassed to say that.
Someone please tell me how I get those legs again ;)After this you guys know the story .. had a baby , lost the weight. Had another baby , lost some of the weight. Had another baby and gained weight. Oh wait there’s more , had one more baby at my heaviest and now we are here.
Below are some of the most beautiful pictures ever taken of our family and I haven’t shared 85% of them because I am MORTIFIED of how I look .
So now what ?!?? First off , let’s talk about whose fault this is. I would like to blame Matt since he can’t keep his hands off me and treats me like I am the most beautiful woman on the planet. But I don’t think it’s his fault lol on that note, I have been in the relationship with somebody who made me feel not good enough. If your partner does not worship your body and make you feel like you are the most desirable thing ever you best be looking for a new partner. But for real … it’s my fault and I have to learn why.
That’s where I am and I know there are many of you with me. So what’s working for me ?
1. Drinking 100oz of water a day. Get yourself a fun new cup that holds around 40 ounces and keeps your ice cold. I am personally using a Stanley. And then order yourself one of these. I fill it up in the morning and it helps keep me accountable .
2. Move your body !!! Maybe it’s walking, maybe it’s going to the gym, maybe it’s a group class or whatever that will get you off your booty. I’ve tried planet fitness. It just takes up too much of my time. So I started doing Beachbody workouts again from home and they fit perfectly for what I need right now. Do I want to work out every day, no! But I know it needs to happen and I already feel better about myself and I’m only about 4 to 5 weeks of I’m doing it. Now am I a Beachbody coach? No! But I know a few and would love to hook you up with one that’s right for you. They have accountability groups, they help you find the right program. They’re really good at what they do!
3. Diet. The most hated word in the English language. Other than a toddler saying no lol. Y’all I have tried it all. Weight watchers, clean, eating, with Beachbody, taking Adipex, calorie counting but at the end of the day you have to pick what’s right for you. Was taking Adipex probably the healthiest thing? Absolutely not, but neither is carrying around 40 pounds of extra weight! At the end of the day you have to do what it takes to get the weight off. My advice if you want to keep the weight off is start making small changes that are sustainable. I started with the water then I started not having fast food as often then I started not eating after dinner, and just those little things are adding up and showing changes. It’s not as fast as I’d like or when I was in my 20s but hopefully once it’s off , it’ll stay off if I keep up these habits
4. Find your why! Why do you wanna loose ? What will you gain from it ? Focus on that because trust me …. Some days that’s the only thing that keeps your motivated. Actually , motivation is BS.Find your motivation but rely on your dedication. You have to be dedicated, there’s a difference.
5. Last but not least , find a buddy. Someone who will walk through this with you. And if you don’t have that … holler at your girl. I’d be happy to be buddies.
Thanks for being here and all the love you showed this week. Not sure why I barred my soul and my photos , it’s out there now lol. Wanna see my boudoir pics from when I was my heaviest too lol ? I would love to hear what’s working for you !! But please don’t spam me with crap you want me to buy. Last time I talked about this on social media I had SOMANY MESSAGES from “ friends “ trying to secretly sell me crap.
Here’s to a healthy 2023 and living our best lives !!!
Love to you all !! Xoxo
