6 Months

Half a year....I'm sorry what ?!!!!This past month has been full of so many milestones and changes!! It has been so fun. His little personality continues to crack us up. His smiles and giggles are to die for. His " attitude " about anyone but mama keeping him has really gotten better. He has had great Saturdays with daddy while I'm at work. Matt has done incredible with him. He is definitely still a mamas boy , when I come home the nights I work he greets me by reaching up with his little hands and pulling me in for a very slobbery smooch :) I will take it , I'm sure someday he won't offer them up that easily !

6Months

Clothes:  He is still in 6 months , wearing some 9 month Pjs for the length !

Sleep at Night:   He is finally back to predictable patterns again. He has been sleeping 8-8 , getting up once to eat between 3-5 usually. While night time sleep has gotten back on track , naps have been a little crazy. I think he is starting to transition from 3 to 2 naps a day and his little body isn't quite sure how. I'm doing what we have done since day 1 and watching him and using his sleepy ques to encourage a nap routine. This has worked best for him and for us. I've tried to use others suggestions and techniques but I have learned that every baby is different and most other ways leave Max and I both in tears. Following your instincts is never wrong , this I have to remind myself everyday !

Yummys:  He is still on his formula. He's been eating 6-8oz every 3-4 hours during the day still.

He has entered the world of baby food. I have bought the intial food to make sure we are good and don't have any allergic reactions. Once a food is all clear I will make his food. I've made sweet potatoes and green beans so far. They say if a baby refuses a food to try it atleast 10X before putting it in the " Doesn't Like" column. They are right ! Some things Max has taken too immediately ( Sweet Potatoes , Prunes , Pears , Carrots , Peaches )....then there are some that took him a few times ( Green Beans , bananas , mangos )....and then there are the ones that he seems to dramaticaly despise ( squash and peas so far lol). For example, this was the first try at green beans

Favorite Things:  Still obsessed with anything he can get in his mouth. He has discovered how to get his carseat toy to play music and does it over and over and over....I will have nightmares of these songs I'm sure.He loves stomping around in his Excersaucer. He still loves his Sophie. 

Not So Favorite Things:   Getting his boogies wiped , his shots....once  again we had a miserable 3-4 days after his 6 month shots. The day after I knew he felt horrible when he wanted to cuddle all day, usually if he is awake he wants to be on the floor playing. We spent 3 days just like this...

What I'm Good at:   Getting around !!!!He rolls , pivots in circles like a madman , tries to crawl. If he wants something , he will find a way to wiggle and squirm to it. He is so close to sitting up on his own. He is getting a little more vocal , he will mimic certain sounds we make. He loves playing " I"m gonna get you "...he will cover his face and try to pull the blanket off in attempts for you to yell " Wheres Max? ....There he is ".....When we put him in his high chair we have to snap the tray on and this one time his mom MIGHT of accidentally pinched his arm so ever since we always say " arms up " and raise his arms. About a week or so ago when we say " arms up" he actually raises his arms himself. 

Places I Like to go:Swim lessons! We are taking a mommy and me swim class and he loves it. He gives the kids that cry evil looks lol. My sister in law is going to come with us this week so I can get some pictures:) He still loves Roosters and visits to his grandparents. 

Looking Forward to:  His first vacation !!! We leave for Florida next week! I can't wait to get his little piggies in the sand. I'm sure he will just try to eat it and that will result in a monumental breakdown but its about the memories right ?!

This Month I feel like I should add a " What I'm in Trouble for ".......you know how you hear stories of the toddler that doesn't share and is a bully ? Well have you heard about the 6 month old ? Yep....its Max. When he is around " older" kids like Kristyn or Carri's he is entertained by watching them and clearly knows his place. Two times now Max has been playing with someone closer in size...Joss , then Tysen....and when he saw them playing with his toys he lost his mind and physically tried to get to them and grab the toy away. I thought for sure the first time was a fluke....then it happened again. I swear he was trying to crawl over Tysen to get his crinkle paper back. Sweet Tysen was like " dude , here I don't care" . Oh Max....the things you need to learn. :)
