2 Months
Maxwell is 2 months old and surprising us everyday. He has gone from the little newborn who fits in the nook of your arm to the 9 week old macho man who has some serious strength. I am blessed that I was able to take a good amount of time off for his birth. We have 2 more weeks together and I am cherishing every minute. I won't lie , I am not looking forward to my return to work but I know it will all work out. For starters I am blessed to work for someone who values family and lets us pretty much make our own schedules.Being apart of such a wonderful work family is something I don't ever want to take for granted. I will be working 3 days when I go back. He will be with my mom 2 days and with Matt on Saturdays. I am so thankful that it has worked out this way. I know he will love his time with Grammy and Daddy...its mommy who will be freaking out.
This month has brought so many fun things. His first real smile , sleeping through the night , rolling over , addiction to his blankie, Easter pictures and lots of fun with friends and family.

Two Months
Weight: 12.2lbs
Length: 22 3/4 inches
Clothes: Finally fitting in 3 months. Hes long enough , almost too long for them but not chunky enough yet. He has some pretty cute things...Sperrys , hoodies from Gap. I am loving dressing this little man
Sleep at Night: He is such a good sleeper. He is going to bed between 9-10 and sleeps till about 5 or 6 , eats then goes back down till 8 or 9. Feeling very lucky!!!
Yummys: He is still on his formula that I refer to as golddust. The stuff is expensive...good thing he is so cute. Since he sleeps so long at night he has droped 2 feedings which just blows my mind. He's such a big boy.
Favorite Things: mommy, binky, being swaddled, swing, bathtime ,daddy playing on the floor with him, elephant blanket and a book of black and white patterns that I narrate a very entertaining story about stinky butt babies lol
Not So Favorite Things: We have decided that its not the being naked or cold after the bath that makes him scream like a terradactyl ....its the fact that we are getting him out of the bath. This boy loves the bath. He wears himself out kicking and splashing and looking all around. Its my favorite!!He's also over tummy time...he had been holding himself up and rolling over and now he looks at me like " what ? I proved to you I'm a haus...leave me alone "
What I'm Good at: Eating for sure. Holding his head up and resting up on his arms.Trying to stand up. Making us laugh and killer old man toots.
Places I Like to go: This is all pretty much the same .....All his grandparents houses , Kristyn's house , Target , Babies R Us , Roosters. Although if its close to bed time he doesn't want anything to do with any of it lol
Looking Forward to: Him warming up to everyone that loves him and more interaction when we play.
2 Month Favorites
1. Similac Alimentum- The plantimum formula that smells awful but makes my baby boy happy.
2. Sassy Book- This is the book Max loves. The inside has slots for pictures of people but also has different black and white patterns. He loves looking at those so much I haven't even put pictures in it yet. Its fun to make up stories..for example...Once upon a time there was a bunch of white polka dots and they loved stinky butt babies like Maxwell...lol
3.Ergo Baby Carrier- This is how I make dinner or fold laundry when Max is needing extra mama time. I put him in this when I clean and talk to him and he just looks around and has a blast. You can buy a newborn insert which honestly I only needed for 2 weeks because my macho man has such great neck and head control he can go in it like a big boy now :)
4. Baby Sperrys- Finally found these at Von Maur and I am gaga over them. I think baby shoes are completely ridiculous yet I couldn't resist. He also has some Chucks he's dying to wear I'm sure.
5. Swaddle Me by Kiddapotamus- I have this by chance thanks to Kristyn giving me hers when Munchie was done with it. LOVE this ! Has all the great features of the Swaddle Me blankets that I like but the way its made you can pull the bottom flap down for diaper changes at night without undoing their arms. I know alot of them COULD do this but this stays perfectly snug and keeps Max warm and secure.
6.Little Lamb Swing- What I love about this is the fact that its a swing and Max loves it. It can swing in 2 different directions and he loves them both. The problem with this one is that I was so excited about the colors being neutral and matching his bouncy seat that I never bothered to notice its battery operated only. Dumb on my part but not worth buying a whole new swing.
7. Baby Legs- Legs warmers on babies...genius and adorable. I love the easy access for diaper changes. Why these are perfect for Max is honestly his size. He is so tall that his little toes are starting to bust out of 3 month sleepers but hes so skinny that a 6 month sleeper swallows him.
8. Whale of a Tub- I fell in love with this tub when I was like 3 months pregnant Every week at Kroger I would look at it and Matt would always laugh. I have no idea why this thing melted my heart so much but I could just imagine our little boy in it. He loves this! I love that at 3 weeks old I could put him in here thanks to the little green stopper in the bottom. That comes out once he is big enough making it perfect from birth till they can sit in the big tub.
