Two Pink Lines

Even just sitting down to type this I am shocked. Three years ago I was a single girl , buying my first condo and praying to find my path. I have learned so much , a lot of which I've written about here. I've learned to truly trust Gods timing and to enjoy the season of life He has you in.

Clearly I've been enjoying my " season ". Being a newlywed has been so much fun. It's had it's moments but thankfully I've chosen a man who loves me unconditionally and I can truly say I love him more with each passing day.

Literally the moment the preacher says " you may now kiss the bride " people start asking when you're going to start a family. Come on people , can we at least cut the cake and do the electric slide ?! For clarification we did not do the electric slide , we take line dancing seriously lol. Matt and I went back and forth on when to " pull the goalie ".... Right away , 6 months , 6 years ...lol. After some hilarious talks we decided we'd take a trip to Vegas with some dear friends as a last hurrah then see how things " played out ". ( I'm really liking the quotation marks in the blog tonight lol ) Well as usual and as a testament to my favorite bible verse ( Prov 16:9) God had another plan. For medical reasons I had to stop all medications and wouldn't you know ....4 weeks later and two weeks BEFORE our last hurrah ,we saw this.


And then this ....



I had a weird feeling all day at work that something was brewing. On a Tuesday night after dinner I snuck upstairs and took a test. I about lost it when I saw the plus. Now I like to make things memorable and creative but all that goes flying out the window when you're holding a positive pregnancy test and your hubby is sitting downstairs. I immediately started yelling for him , he came flying upstairs prepared to kill a bug or save me from who knows what. All I could do was point to the bathroom counter , he walked in , saw the test , got a huge grin on his face and said " Plus means pregnant ".

As if a dollar store test wasn't enough I was up at 6 the next morning driving around looking for a pharmacy that was open to buy more. Two more tests, some blood work and a whole bucket of grateful tears later it sank in...Team Hampton was adding to its roster!!! We are 12 weeks in and counting down till January 2013 :)
