Who gave me guts ?!

If you had been a fly swarming around Kings Island circa 1987 you'd have seen me wondering around kiddie land working up the nerves to ride the Smurf Ride which consisted of a small boat that went a whole 1mph on a flat river. By 1989 I'd gotten downright ballsy and would ride the Beastie. This was the theme for the next 10 years. Living 10 minutes from the park was so fun growing up. My parents would take me after work for a few hours or when I was old enough they would drop my friends and I off for the day....point being there was never any pressure to ride everything because I knew I'd be back. The last 10 years I've probably gone a handful of times and now I'll pretty much ride anything other than the things that fall under my " No Way , I'm Not Looking to Die " category. Well apparently when you turn 30 you get some guts.....

One of the things inherited when I met Matt is this little day every April when my father in laws company rents out KI for their employees and families. It's not like GE day or Lexis Nexus day where it's still open to the public and you have lines. This is the kind of day when you can ride Diamond Back 6X in a row with no line. It's the kind of day where for 8 hours you're spinning , hurling down hills , speeding through turns and just trying to walk a straight line between rides because you're so dizzy.

I knew this year was different when I agreed to ride Drop Zone. But in all my years I didn't thing I'd end my day doing this......

See that little cluster ? Thats myself , Melanie and Kris. All of the activities that are usually $20-$30 a person were $5-$10 and you better believe we couldn't turn that down. This was the coolest thing. It was like a giant swing. Im so proud of Mels and myself ,other than the small hiccup when I couldn't find the release cord we were extremely brave. Now Im ready for Cedar Pointe !!
