Back on the wagon
Well after a good month or more off the diet wagon , Matt and I are back at it and we mean business. We both lost a good amount of weight around the time we met each other and continued the journey throughout our first year of dating. With wedding planning , work , Matt's masters program and life we slipped off the wagon. Thankfully ,we both maintained our loss to date. This past week our new adventure arrived....P90X2.... I started yesterday and Matt started today. Needless to say we are both on the couch in pain tonight but its totally worth it. I would like to loose another 40 pounds, we shall see how this goes. Of course I did what every crazy person does .....I lived it UP Sunday , knowing it would be my last day of crazy eating. We had Mexican , ate like animals at my dads, and drank a real coffee....no skinny lol. Monday started the serious business again.... strict calorie counting and a workout a day. I of course wanted to drag Matt to el rancho tonight in an act of rebellion but we stayed true to our healthy plan ( and budget) and made dinner at home ! I made some killer pork chops on the Nuwave ! We both have had to set some guidelines for ourselves..... sad but here are the goals:
Matt :
No fried food
No Snacks ( he's such a stickler for this one )
Lot of chicken and pork chops
Me:
No El Rancho till the first 90 days are up ( although this timing will include my 30th birthday so I may have to make ONE exception )
No Chickfila Chicken Minis on saturday mornings
Only one Starbucks a week and it has to be a skinny...all other coffee treats must come from my home and include my low cal , low taste creamer lol ( this one is good for the weight and the budget ha )
The rules that are still being negotiated between us lol:
No Mexico City dip from J Alexanders - this is a Matt rule that I just cannot seem to agree with. I"m more likely to just say no J's...thats how strongly I feel about the dip
No Drinking except for New Years , Millers Bday and our Bdays - sometimes a girl likes a night cap ok ? lol
No trips to Yogurt Mountain: Why you ask ? A small amount of fat free , sugar free frozen yogurt isn't bad for you ! Well DUH , but the 7lbs of toppings we pile on are lol
No pizza : Sorry Larosas , Dominos , Milanos , and Donatos....the Hamptons will not be seeing you anytime soon
I'm convinced we can meet our goals..... we started on the right foot , well as long as you don't count this ....us " previewing" the workouts ....note my ice cream bowl
