Hakuna Matata

Well for a year now I have been excited and nervous about The Lion King coming to town. Excitement over the opportunity to work on a show like this , nervous about the time commitment and the expectations. I love working at the theater, its been such an incredible learning experience. To sit off stage and watch the magic unfold for the audience is memorizing. From how they fly the car in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to the the flying monkeys in wicked , hundreds of feet tapping in 42nd Street to making a candelabra talk in Beauty and the Beast.....they are all special.  While Wicked is my favorite show , I am beyond excited to see The Lion King. The creative genius that makes that show come alive is unlike anything on stage ! We all know my phone is attached to me 24/7 so I'm hoping to catch some pictures of how they do some of the stuff !

The hard part of all of this is the demanding time commitment. There is a show every night Tuesday - Friday and two a day throughout the weekend. Combined that with working at the salon to see my regular guest and we are looking at a month of no days off and not getting home before midnight. Thankfully I have encouraging family , friends and of course an incredible fiance that will get me through it !

I know at the end of it I will be one month closer to this little celebration we are planning :) It'll be time for showers , vacation , shopping for the fun stuff with my girls , and I will still have 2 months of laying out ahead of me since we all know that is my favorite thing to do all summer. My future sister in-law has this long gorgeous dark hair so she has set a goal for herself to look like Pocahontas by summers end , I have joined her but I want to look like Tiana. I'm sure together we can get it done :) LOL
